Shortly after a vessels becomes plugged, here with aggregated platelets, the endothelial walls lose integrity and RBCs spill into surrounding stroma. Here two vessels are plugged but one has not yet ruptured. The diffuse marrow fibrosis indicates that there has also been chronic ischemia. |
