Chronic marrow ischemia causes replacement of fat cells by fibrous tissue streaming between and around remaining adipocytes. Here many lymphocytes and foamy macrophages are in stroma (lower left) with nuclear loss and oil cysts indicating area of complete fat necrosis in the upper right tissue. |
