Figure 35: When there has been recent and major infarction of fatty marrow, all that remains is blood admixed with abundant fibrin (the thin pink film toward the left).  This is embedded with small fatty microvesicles, moderate-sized fat globules and larger oil cysts, as seen here.  Oil cysts are large enough to been seen as yellow bubbles at surgery.
