Dead fat shows loss of nuclei, oil cysts (coalesced dead adipocytes) and fatty microvesicles. Few inflammatory cells are present and dead
bone shows complete loss of osteocytes with enlarged empty lacunae (the
enlargement indicates slow death of osteocytes, i.e. ischemic death). |
